About the agent...
My name is Mario Mejia
I have been in the financial services industry for the last 20+ years in different roles throughout my career, from a captive agent at a large financial company, project management position, IT release manager to leading large information technology (IT) projects as a Business Analyst. Some of these roles have helped me understand the "back-office" inner workings of insurance products, and in return, I translate that knowledge to my client's benefit. ā
āHow did I get into this business? Well, sometime back, my career goals changed when my job was eliminated due to corporate restructuring. At that point, I decided to take matters into my own hands, get out of the corporate emotional rollercoaster ride by becoming an independent agent/broker, and an agency builder.
I enjoy helping my customers by educating them on how to protect their families from unexpected losses, save money to supplement their retirement income planning and prepare for the need for final expenses. It's all about "Love, Care, Serve" as my favorite author, Jon Gordon, emphasizes in his books.
My wife, son, and I moved to FL from CT a little while ago looking for the "eternal summer". Who doesn't like palm trees, right? Exactly! Every day feels like living on a Caribbean island, so the vacation never ends. We are active members of our local Catholic Church, participating in many ministries and attending Sunday mass.
